Position Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Are you interested in serving people who are looking for safe, secure housing? Do you enjoy being the helpful voice in someone's otherwise complicated day? Are you energized by helping our county's vulnerable populations? Our Housing Navigator provides services and engages with clients, assists them with locating housing, navigating housing-related challenges, accessing community services and programs, and acts as a liaison to the landlord to help prevent avoidable evictions. Housing Navigators work directly with clients, providing support through HUD or USDA programs, or other community agencies.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need skill in organizing and managing a significant amount of client participation information, along with the ability to establish and maintain necessary records and prepare clear and concise reports. You’ll need experience communicating with people (staff, vendors, and others) of all backgrounds.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly sit, talk and/or hear. The employee will routinely operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work may be performed as a hybrid position and will be in an indoor, office environment. The Housing Navigator may be required to travel to clients and meet at a potential property, in a variety of weather conditions, as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may help set up, facilitate, and participate in offsite trainings and community events.
